Mountain West Burrito now has a walk up window location near the University Campus in Provo.  They are serving up fresh tacos with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. And of course, for us meat lovers, there’s plenty of that too!  Their menu is simple: tacos, nachos, quesadillas, chimichangas, or a burrito.  It’s basically all varieties of the same, with or without the tortilla, with a larger tortilla, with chips, grilled with cheese, or lightly fried. They boast of using fresh high quality ingredients which you can read all about on the ingredient page of their website.

Mountain West Burrito in Provo

As we recently visited some friends in Provo we walked up to Mountain West Burrito for dinner.  I couldn’t help be reminisce college days as we had similar restaurants in the college town I lived in.  Mountain West Burrito is the perfect college student hang-out or late night meal. At any time of day you’ll find students lounging around the picnic tables outside the window or waiting in line for a fresh burrito.

  1. My husband and I travel quite a ways to hit up Mountain West Burrito. Love it! When I was in college, I loved grabbing quick bites at The Bagelry and B&D burgers.

    • Bagels were definitely a vice for me too in college. Lots of carbs. And hitting up the dorm cereal bins. I ate lots and lots of cereal!

  2. I think cheese fries were the best! And cheap, too! However, we are a lot of super birds at Denny’s late night after the clubs :-)

  3. The World Famous Carter’s Hot Dogs (Ball State University). And I don’t even like hot dogs! Thanks for hosting this giveaway :)

  4. I love mountain west. I’ve been going there since a couple months after it first opened. The new location is great and the food is still quality!

  5. Toss-up between roasted veggie chimichanga from MWB, or shrimp tikka masala from India Palace. Provo just has so many great restaurants.

  6. I LOVE MOUNTAIN WEST BURRITO! I’m a sophomore at BYU, and to be honest, my favorite college food are the chips and salsa from Mountain West! I definitely wouldn’t mind a $25 gift card to Mountain West for Christmas this year!

  7. I would have to say that my favorite college meal is the cheap lunch special at Thai Village. It always was a great way to spice up your meals when you’re tired of cereal or quesadillas. :)

  8. I love MWB, the food is fantastic! it’s fast but healthy. I love that my kids love it too. we don’t eat out much because most restaurants serve processed garbage foods. so when we do my kids think it’s a treat. thanks MWB for giving us a healthy option for our families

  9. Burritos have always been the go-to snack/meal. Quick, easy and delicious. Cougars don’t know how good they have it these days.

  10. I’d have to say that my favorite food as a college student is Mt. West Burrito. Cafe Rio Veggie Salad is a delicious alternative. I enjoy MWB so much because it is fresh and healthy!

  11. MWB is a culinary staple. But I will always thank/curse Rancherito’s for their carnitas fries. Health hazard or not, that will always be the food to have ended a two year stint with vegetarianism.

  12. My favorite college food is definitely MWB! Since its opened, my husband and I make several of our date nights there. We graduate in April and are going to miss MWB the most of all!

  13. I wish they had something like MWB at the University of Utah. Unfortunately, my haunt was Carl’s Jr. Don’t judge. But I work in Orem and MWB is my weekly indulgence.

  14. Mountain West Burrito and SLAB pizza are my favorite. They’re right next to each other now too so it’s always a tough choice.

  15. Years ago there was a burger joint called Central Park by BYU that sold great burgers that we loved during college. MWB is one of our current favs!
