Celebrating 20 Years with Liberty Heights Fresh

Reviewed by Josh

This week Liberty Heights Fresh is celebrating their 20th year in business with the public. To celebrate well they’ll be offering 20% off everything on Wednesday Sept 4th, in addition to an outdoor party featuring tastes and sips from around the world on this Friday and Saturday.

We love Liberty Heights Fresh not just because they sell some of the most in-season and fresh food you can find, they also have some of the most helpful employees in town. Every month we put out a seasonal produce list and a few recipes including their fresh foods on The Vintage Mixer website. We look forward to foraging their market every month. Here are a few of our favorite items at Liberty Heights Fresh:

Bellwether Farms Ricotta Cheese
Purity Farms Ghee
Poco Dolce Chocolate
Laziz Foods
Amour Spreads
Snowy Mountain Lamb
Christiansen Family Farm Pork Products
Burrata Cheese
they also have an amazing selection of balsamics, vinegars, honey, jams, olives, and cheese

The backstory of Liberty Heights is also pretty awesome.  Here’s a little story for ya:

From a Gas Station to “Gastronomic Station”

In 1993 Steven Rosenberg converted a humble gas station to a neighborhood gem and began offering a selection of produce and good food from around the world. Over 20 years this little corner “mom-n-pop” has grown into a culinary force in Salt Lake and the West, setting the standard for integrity in the unique products it offers, its unwavering commitment to quality, and by selecting food that will make you smile, that is good for the body, the soul, and the planet. Food at Liberty Heights Fresh is still made the old-fashioned way using ingredients that your great-grandmother would recognize and love!

Beyond simply organic or local, Steven searches both the Salt Lake community and around world to stock the Liberty Heights Fresh shelves with authentic food free of unpronounceable ingredients, mystery fillers, and so called “food-like substances.”

Enjoy 20% off at Liberty Heights Fresh tomorrow and celebrate with Liberty Heights Fresh at their outdoor party September 6-9. This event is FREE to the public!
