Harmons Books and Bites Cooking Class

Books and Bites at Harmon’s Cooking School

Reviewed by Becky

This week I had the pleasure of attending my first Books and Bites class at Harmon’s Cooking School. They teamed up with Weller Books and started this fabulous food book club series that couples a food or travel books with complementing foods. The book we read was Cheesemonger by Gordon Edgar, which is a fabulous memoir on his life as a cheese associate in San Francisco. We actually skyped the author himself into the class and got to ask him questions as we munched on a variety of cheese hors d’oeuvres made by the Harmon’s Chef.

If you’re a reader, like me, and enjoy taking a journey to new places or new foods through reading, you will love these classes at Harmon’s. They have several ideas brewing for the next Books and Bites class including Blood Bones and Butter by Garbielle Hamilton, a book I just recently devoured. I hope to stay up to date with my food reading through these classes!
