Welcome to theSLCfoodie.com

Finally. Right?!  It’s been a long awaited project to have a separate platform for SLCfoodie but it’s here now.  From the beginning SLCfoodie and Vintage Mixer have been one and the same.  But not anymore.  I just want to explain a few things.  TheSLCfoodie.com is primarily going to be a resource for all things food in Salt Lake City: restaurant reviews, favorite local foods, highlights of interesting folks in the community and where they like to eat, plus the latest food news.

Now you can find all of the past restaurant reviews in the categories along the left side bar.  For example, you have a hankering for some tasty sushi in town, go to Japanese category and you can scroll through some of my old write ups on Japanese restaurants. If you are looking for a new brunch spot for your weekend splurge, go to the brunch category and hopefully you’ll find something worth while there. Simple.

And a few other things to note.  We now are having events: SLCmixers, in efforts to bring the online community offline around a table of tasty food and drink.  We have a few events already up on the calendar, one of which sold out within just a couple of days.  We are partnering with local food providers to help host the event as they can highlight their products as well as be a part of this underground dinner club of sorts. Wine tasting, marmalade and toast tasting, whiskey and cheese pairing, and famous Creminelli Salami tasting are just a few of the mixers that we have up our sleeve right now.

And if you’re here just for recipes, don’t fret. The recipes are still a’comin. You’ll find recipe posts on TheVintageMixer.com. I actually just posted a scrumptious cannoli recipe today!
