There are a only few things we enjoy more than the Deer Valley summer concert series. It’s a night we look forward to all year.  This year, we had a taste of our Texas roots as we watched Natalie Maines perform (I went to the same bluegrass music school as Natalie a few years after her).

We sang along and periodically enjoyed bites of our gourmet picnic basket (making the night even more perfect!).  Their lemon pound cake has become a taste of the summer for me, as is their cool salmon with cucumber and dill.  It’s not to late to catch a concert, check out the rest of their line up at Deer Valley Music Festival and Big Stars Bright Nights.
