I don’t venture into hotel taverns or cafes often. I guess I assume they are just for the hotel guests or out-of-towners but they are really just as much for the local as the visitor. I recently dropped in at the Copper Canyon Grill House and Tavern at the Radission in downtown Salt Lake.  We sat down at just the right time to enjoy some live music and a friendly crowd. We ordered some of their appetizers and then we enjoyed dinner there as well.

Their whole menu of appetizers and tapas are half price (around $4 each) during the month of June.  They have tasty fish tacos, burger sliders, a variety of grilled cheese served with heirloom tomato bisque, and several other great options on their tapa menu.  Although, their not traditional tapas, in the Spanish sense, they are perfect for a light and inexpensive meal or an afterwork snack.

The Copper Canyon Grill also serves up a tasty dinner menu.  I enjoyed their trout salad while my friend Hannah had their bison burger with sweet potato fries.  In true girl-friend like fashion, I snagged a few of her crunchy fries that were hanging over the edge of the little wire shopping cart-like thing in which they came. We definitely had leftovers after this meal.

If you live or work downtown, you should definitely check out the great price on appetizers and tapas this month or stop in for a full meal. You won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure!
