Tin Angel, a gourmet restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City, is a spot for great food and specialties but their infamous soup keeps me coming back again and again. Anytime I bring up Tin Angel in conversation someone brings up this soup. Their menu prices are pretty high, so I could go just for a bowl of soup and be completely satisfied.
I hope to someday come up with a recipe that resembles this favorite soup of mine. Until then, you must go and have a bowl at Tin Angel to see for yourself.
Honorable mentions for good soup in Salt Lake City:
Lemon Rice Soup at Aristos (I’ve come up with a similar soup at home: Lemon Rice and Asparagus Soup)
Tomato Basil Soup at Paradise Bakery
Split Pea Soup at The Soup Kitchen
Wisconsin Cauliflower Soup at Cafe Zupas
Spinach & Fontina Zuppa
Organic Baby Spinach, Fresh Cream, Garlic and Fontina Cheese

Well, it's only my fave soup in the city
I did a post on it a while back… i can't quite make it as good as the angel but… oooh… i dream about it!
That soup does sound amazing. I've added it to my "Try to make this" list!
I love Tin Angel but have not had the soup. I will have to try it next time. I know Tiff loves this one too!
I've had the Tin Angel's bread budding but not this soup. I've been missing out!
since i likely won't be able to try it anytime soon, i might attempt to make my own version! This sounds absolutely wonderful (i love fontina!)
I have to agree, it is one of the best soups in Salt Lake. Have you had the tomato soup at Mazza? If not, you might give it a try . . .
What a pretty soup and the flavors sound delicious. Thanks for the great list of places to get a good bowl of soup in SLC.
