Pallet Restaurant in Salt Lake City

New Restaurants in Salt Lake City: Pallet and Finca

Reviewed by Becky

Two restaurants have popped up in Salt Lake over the last month or so.  Both being great additions to the Salt Lake dining scene.  First Pallet, a modern American restaurant near the Gateway Mall and next door to a favorite coffee shop of mine, The Rose Establishment.  I dropped in for lunch at Pallet and really enjoyed what they have to offer.  The food was simple but well made and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic, with vintage lighting and intriguing art on the walls.  I’m looking forward to trying their dinner menu soon. I’m hoping it matches up to the unique atmosphere more than their lunch items did.

And Finca, a new establishment by the guys at Pago, offers Spanish cuisine, something that SLC has definitely lacked until now.  I have yet to go to Finca, but I look forward to bringing back the flavors of my summer in Spain as I dine there.  I’m hoping for melt in your mouth croquettas, light tapas, and good wine… we’ll see how it compares! Finca is also open for lunch.

  1. I was asking Kora about Pallet and she said, “it would be a good place to go with Becky.” So, I’m glad you got to go! I’m dying to go soon :)
